Description

When your regular cleaner won’t shift it, reach for Faber 30 2.0

Standard neutral cleaners maintain clean surfaces — they’re not designed to restore them. When a floor has accumulated years of greasy foot traffic, suffered rubber tyre transfers, or needs wax and polymer build-up stripped back to the base material, you need a product built for the job. Faber 30 2.0 is Faber Chimica’s concentrated alkaline deep cleaner from their Professional Line — engineered for exactly these situations.

What makes it unusual is the combination of high alkalinity and surface gentleness. A pH of 11 gives it the chemical power to emulsify organic soiling that neutral products can’t touch, yet the formula is balanced to be safe on polished marble, glazed ceramics, and acid-sensitive stone that most industrial degreasers would permanently damage.

Key Benefits

  • Concentrated formula — three dilution options let you match the product strength to the task, maximising value and reducing waste
  • Extremely effective on tire marks — penetrates and lifts rubber transfer marks from stone, concrete, and ceramic; the go-to solution for garages, car showrooms, and loading areas
  • Safe on polished and acid-sensitive surfaces — despite pH 11, the formula will not etch or dull polished marble, limestone, or glazed materials when used correctly
  • Highly effective on synthetic floors — excellent results on PVC, epoxy resin, and polyurethane floor coverings that many stone cleaners aren’t designed for
  • Broad surface compatibility — suitable for virtually every hard surface found in residential and commercial environments
  • 10–15 minute dwell time — allows full penetration into micro-pores before extraction, delivering far better results than fast-action products
  • Coverage 8–10 m² per litre — at working dilution, a single 5L container covers significant areas
  • Indoor and outdoor use — effective in all conditions
  • Made in Italy — Faber Chimica Professional Line

Dilution Guide

This is where Faber 30 2.0 earns its value — one product, three levels of cleaning power:

Use Case Dilution When to Use
Wax & polymer stripping Undiluted Final stage of double wax stripping process; dissolving hardened resin or polymer build-up
Heavy degreasing 1:2 (1 part product : 2 parts water) Removing large amounts of stubborn greasy residues; worksite cleaning on acid-sensitive materials
Periodic deep cleaning 1:6 (1 part product : 6 parts water) Regular periodic floor cleaning to remove accumulated foot traffic dirt

How to Apply

Surface Preparation

  1. Remove surface debris using a broom or vacuum cleaner before applying any liquid
  2. Treat small areas at a time — for highly absorbent surfaces such as terracotta, work in sections of no more than 4–5 m² to prevent full absorption. For low-absorbing surfaces such as polished stone or ceramic, larger areas can be treated

Application

  1. Mix to the appropriate dilution ratio for your task (see table above)
  2. Apply the solution to the surface, covering the whole area evenly using a single-disc machine or large brush
  3. Allow to dwell for 10–15 minutes, agitating periodically with the machine to boost penetration. On highly absorbent surfaces, apply additional product during dwell time to keep the surface covered
  4. Pad selection: white pad for polished, delicate surfaces (marble, limestone, glazed materials); green or light blue pad for rough, unpolished surfaces (terracotta, concrete)
  5. After dwell time, pour sufficient clean water onto the surface to form an emulsion with the solution; distribute evenly and remove excess — best done with a wet vacuum
  6. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. If results are not fully satisfactory, repeat the treatment

Resume Surface Use Surface can be opened for use as soon as it is dry after rinsing. When retreating, wait for the surface to be completely dry all the way through before reapplying.

FAQ

Is Faber 30 safe to use on marble and limestone?

Yes — despite its pH of 11, Faber 30 2.0 is specifically formulated to be safe on polished marble, limestone, travertine, and other acid-sensitive calcareous stones. Most industrial degreasers at this pH level would etch or dull polished marble permanently. The formula is balanced to deliver alkaline cleaning power without the surface damage that conventional high-pH degreasers cause. Always use the correct dilution ratio for the surface type and test on a small inconspicuous area first.

What dilution ratio should I use for Faber 30?

Faber 30 2.0 has three dilution options depending on the task. Use it undiluted for wax and polymer stripping or dissolving hardened resin build-up. Dilute 1 part product to 2 parts water for heavy degreasing and removing large amounts of stubborn greasy residues. Dilute 1 part product to 6 parts water for periodic deep cleaning to remove accumulated foot traffic dirt. Using the correct dilution for the task gives better results and makes the product go further.

Can Faber 30 remove tire marks from stone floors?

Yes — removing rubber tire transfer marks is one of Faber 30’s most effective applications. The concentrated alkaline formula penetrates and lifts rubber transfer marks from stone, concrete, ceramic, and porcelain. Apply at 1:2 dilution, allow a 10 to 15 minute dwell time with periodic agitation using a single disc machine, then extract with a wet vacuum and rinse thoroughly. For very heavy or longstanding tire marks a second application may be needed.

What is the difference between Faber 30 and a neutral floor cleaner?

Neutral floor cleaners — pH 6 to 8 — are designed for routine maintenance cleaning of surfaces that are already clean. They maintain a clean floor but cannot cut through accumulated grease, wax build-up, polymer residues, or rubber marks. Faber 30 at pH 11 works through saponification — it chemically converts grease and oil into water-soluble compounds that can be extracted. It is a restoration and deep cleaning product rather than a maintenance cleaner. After deep cleaning with Faber 30, maintain the surface with a neutral cleaner such as Faber Neugel or Faber Algafloor.

Can I use Faber 30 on porcelain tiles?

Yes. Faber 30 is suitable for all types of porcelain — polished, glazed, honed, structured, and natural finish. It is particularly effective for post-installation cleaning of porcelain where grout haze, adhesive residues, and construction contamination need removing before the final finish. For polished porcelain use a white pad to avoid any risk of surface marking. For structured or textured porcelain a green or light blue pad can be used.

How long should Faber 30 dwell on the surface?

Allow 10 to 15 minutes dwell time after application, agitating periodically with a machine or brush to boost penetration into the micro-pores of the surface. On highly absorbent surfaces such as terracotta apply additional product during the dwell time to keep the surface covered and prevent the product drying out before it can be extracted. Do not allow the product to dry on the surface — extract with a wet vacuum before drying and rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Can Faber 30 be used as part of a double wax stripping process?

Yes. Faber 30 is used in the double wax stripping process at 1:2 dilution — one part product to two parts water. Apply to the surface, allow to dwell for 10 to 15 minutes with periodic agitation using a single disc machine and a black or green pad, extract with a wet vacuum, and rinse thoroughly. The double stripping process typically involves a first pass to break down and lift the bulk of the wax build-up, followed by a second pass to remove remaining residues. For very heavy or multi-layer wax build-up Faber CottoSolv or Faber Dec 21 may be more appropriate as the primary stripping agent.
