100% Self-Sharpening Ceramic Grain
Standard abrasive grains dull progressively as they work — the cutting edges round off, cut rate drops, and you either press harder (which risks burning the floor and straining the machine) or change the belt earlier than you’d like. Ceramic grain works differently. Under the pressure and heat of sanding, the grain micro-fractures in a controlled way, constantly exposing new, sharp cutting edges. The Ruby HD maintains its aggression from the first pass to the last metre — which is why it outlasts standard zirconia belts by up to three times on demanding species and heavy restoration work.
Hybrid Polyester-Reinforced Backing
Belt chatter is a finishing nightmare — difficult to remove and a direct result of inferior belt construction. The Ruby HD’s heavyweight polyester-reinforced hybrid nonwoven backing provides near-zero stretch, ensuring the belt tracks cleanly on the drum under extreme heat and pressure. Anti-Static Dust Control
