Description
The colour-enhancing impregnator that makes stone look permanently wet — in the best possible way.
Some stone surfaces look their very best when wet — the depth of colour, the richness of the veining, the character of the material all come alive. P147 Plus captures that effect permanently. This solvent-based, deeply penetrating impregnator intensifies the natural colour of absorbent stone to a rich matt wet-look finish, while simultaneously delivering high stain resistance — without creating a surface film or altering the breathability of the material.
For restoration professionals reviving a faded terracotta, for installers finishing a new granite floor, or for anyone wanting their stone to look its absolute best, P147 Plus is the standard-bearer for colour-enhancing impregnating treatments.
⚠️ Important — Solvent-Based Product
P147 Plus is a solvent-based treatment with a flash point below 23°C. Ensure adequate ventilation during application. Avoid open flames and sources of ignition. Wear appropriate PPE including solvent-resistant gloves. Clean all application equipment with white spirit at the end of use.
Key Benefits
- Highly colour-enhancing — intensifies the natural tones, veining, and depth of absorbent stone to a rich permanent wet-look effect
- Matt finish — all the colour enhancement of a wet-look without any surface gloss or artificial shine
- High stain-resistant properties — repels oils, water, food stains, and household spills, making daily cleaning and maintenance significantly easier
- Non-film-forming — penetrates into the structure of the material without creating a surface coating, preserving natural breathability and texture
- Certified safe for food contact — independently certified for use on surfaces in contact with food, including kitchen worktops and food preparation areas
- UV resistant — will not yellow over time even with sunlight exposure
- Won’t yellow overtime — maintains colour accuracy long-term
- 24-month shelf life — in original sealed packaging stored correctly
- Made in Italy — Faber Chimica Professional Line
Important — Suitable Surfaces Only
P147 Plus is designed for medium to highly absorbent surfaces. It is not suitable for polished surfaces — the treatment will not penetrate correctly and may leave residues on low-porosity polished stone.
For polished surfaces requiring colour enhancement, see Faber Deep Enhancer.
Suitable Surfaces
Marble-concrete agglomerate · Marble-resin agglomerate · Quartz-resin agglomerate · Slate · Sandstone · Basaltina / Lava stone · Molten basalt · Concrete tiles · Concrete · Granite · Limestone · Marble (unpolished) · Reconstructed stone (Ecopietra) · Porphyry · Quartzite · Terracotta · Travertine · Tuff
Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications.
Always test on a small unexposed area before full application.
How to Apply
The residue removal step is critical with P147 Plus — any excess left on the surface will cause greasy patches. Follow the timing carefully.
Surface Preparation
- Clean the surface thoroughly, removing all dust, dirt, grease, and previous treatments
- Never apply to wet or damp surfaces — the surface must be completely dry
- Check surface temperature is between +5°C and +40°C (+5°C and +35°C recommended for best results)
- Do not apply when there is risk of rain or frost, or in the presence of mist, fog, or high humidity
- Protect adjacent surfaces not being treated
- If applying over a penetrating water-repellent primer, wait for the primer to dry completely
- When applying to recently laid or grouted surfaces, wait for adhesive and grout to fully cure
- Always test on a small unexposed area first
Application
- Apply an even coat of product to the clean, dry surface using a brush, lambswool applicator, roller, or cloth — cover the whole surface evenly
- 5–10 minutes after application — re-distribute any excess product using the same tool, ensuring even coverage
- 20–30 minutes after application — remove all residues thoroughly using a dry floor polisher (1.5 HP, 175 rpm) with a white or lambswool pad, or a white disc/pad on an orbital machine. For worktops, upright surfaces, or small areas, use a compact felt or wool-cotton cloth. Ensure all excess has been removed — any remaining product will cause greasiness
- For maximum colour enhancement and deeper penetration on compact materials — you may extend the dwell time up to 45–60 minutes before residue removal. Note that surface residues will be slightly harder to remove at this extended dwell time
Drying & Surface Use
The product dries within 1–2 hours. The surface can be returned to use after 4–6 hours.
Equipment Cleaning
Clean all application equipment with white spirit at the end of use.
