Arboritec First Coat — Professional Waterborne Wood Floor Primer

The quality of a lacquered floor finish is only as good as what goes under it. A poorly prepared or inadequately primed surface leads to adhesion failures, uneven sheen, tannin bleed-through on reactive species, and a finish that won’t perform as long as it should. Arboritec First Coat eliminates these risks.

Formulated in Sweden as part of Arboritec’s ceramic coating system, First Coat is a waterborne primer with high solids content and ceramic-fortified adhesion technology. It seals the wood surface evenly, creates a stable foundation for finish coats, and minimises grain raise — giving you a smoother surface between coats and a cleaner, more consistent result from the first application through to the final coat.

How to Apply

1. Sand the floor to a clean, smooth finish and remove all dust by vacuuming and tacking.
2. Apply First Coat evenly using a T-bar, roller, or brush. Work in sections maintaining a wet edge to avoid lap marks.
3. Allow to dry for 30–60 minutes under normal conditions (18–22°C, 50–60% relative humidity).
4. Lightly abrade with a fine screen or abrasive pad to remove any raised grain.
5. Remove all dust before applying your chosen Arboritec finish coat.
