Classic+ is Arboritec’s 1-component, 100% waterborne polyurethane finish for wood and parquet floors. Manufactured in Sweden using Arboritec’s proprietary Small Particle Technology (SPT), it embeds ceramic silica particles deep into the finish — creating a chemically bonded, scratch-resistant surface that outperforms standard 1K lacquers and matches the durability of many 2-component systems.

Recommended Primer System

Always prime before applying Classic+. Primer choice depends on wood species and desired tone:

Recommended system: 1 coat primer + 2 coats Classic+. On bare unstained wood without a primer: 3 coats Classic+.

How to Apply

1. Sand floor to a smooth, clean finish — final sanding with 120-grit belt or 100-grit screen
2. Vacuum and tack the floor to remove all dust
3. Apply chosen Arboritec primer per its instructions and allow to fully dry
4. Shake Classic+ vigorously for 30–60 seconds, then allow to rest for 2–3 minutes before applying
5. Apply by T-bar, roller, or brush along the direction of the floor boards — do not dilute
6. Allow 30–60 minutes drying time between coats on bare wood; 2–4 hours between subsequent coats
7. Sand lightly between coats if desired for adhesion or to remove grain raise
8. For an extra-durable final coat, add Arboritec Part B Hardener to the last application
9. Keep off the floor for 24 hours — ready for light traffic after 24 hours; fully cured in 5 days

Floor, product, and air temperature must be between 13°C and 25°C. Relative humidity: 40–60%. At high temperatures and low humidity, add 2% Arboritec Extender. Keep underfloor heating off from the day before application until 24 hours after.

Maintaining a Classic+ Finish

For day-to-day cleaning use Arboritec Cleaner Concentrate diluted in water — pH-neutral and streak-free. To restore lustre between refinishes, use Arboritec Refresher. Avoid acidic or solvent-based cleaners that can degrade the finish.
